
Kevin is an honours graduate from the unique
BA Applied Golf Management Studies Degree at the University of
Birmingham. A unique degree that combines academic study with the
advantage of gaining PGA membership.
During this degree Kevin studied various subjects related to golf including:
- Coaching
- Swing Theory
- Psychology
- Sports Science
- Business Studies
- Financial Performance
- Materials Science
- Human Resource Management
- Events Management
Kevin has also completed extensive research into the effects of Imagery on Golf Performance.
Kevin turned professional in August 2008, and became a fully qualified PGA member in Summer 2009. He
turned professional off a handicap of 2 and won many competitions as an
amateur golfer, including two 36 hole scratch strokeplay tournaments
and a scratch matchplay tournament. Kevin also played several matches
for the University Golf team with a high success rate.
His current best competitive round was a 4 under par (62) at Balmore Golf Club during 2008.
Kevin has a strong interest in coaching and developing players’ ability, drawing from the skills learned during his degree course. In his coaching, Kevin looks to combine swing analysis with sports science and psychology to provide his clients with the most up to date holistic coaching service.
